​UN Conducted a Global Census on Cooperatives

Following the United Nations (UN) 2012 International Year of Cooperatives the UN commissioned Dave Grace & Associates to conduct the first ever Global Census on Cooperatives. The effort is the broadest ever survey and analysis on the global cooperative system. The report from the Global Census was unveiled at the 2nd International Summit of Cooperatives.

Bank of Uganda Launches National Financial Inclusion Strategy written by DGA. 

The Bank of Uganda (BoU) in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development (MoFPED) as well as members of the Inter Institutional Committee on Financial Inclusion (IICFI) has launched the National Financial Inclusion Strategy (NFIS) 2017-2022.

Central Bank van Suriname to Introduce Deposit Insurance

Following months of preparation and analysis of deposits in nation's banks and credit unions, Dave Grace presented the Central Bank van Suriname's (CBvS) policy paper to the financial sector and consumer groups.  Mr. Grace designed the proposed deposit insurance system with the CBvS on behalf of the Caribbean Technical Assistance Centre/IMF. Local media attended the July 30, 2013 workshop where the proposal was discussed with the financial sector and consumer groups.

Supervisors Move to Improve Credit Union Oversight in Eastern Caribbean

On the 14 November 2012 the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, with financial support from the World Bank, engaged the international consultancy firm of Dave Grace & Associates to aid the single regulatory units in Antigua & Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts & Nevis, Saint Lucia and St. Vincent & the Grenadines in building the capacity of credit union supervisors. Center for Financial Inclusion Re-signs with Dave Grace & Associates to develop global consumer protection campaign

Building off a six-month engagement where Dave Grace & Associates identified and gathered regulators, CEOs and policymakers from around the globe to develop a road map on consumer for the Financial Inclusion 2020 campaign, CFI has resigned with us for 2013.  The next phase included crowd sourcing the global recommendations on consumer protection in preparation for the Financial Inclusion Global Forum in London.  Read more...
